yes indeed and feelin' really happy about it. Aside from work related scrapping (which does not count towards my personal scrapbook goals).. I have not done a layout since last November! Well don't count the Christmas pressies.. I'm talking about purely layouts for ME. It's good to finally break the dry spell and of course break into my stash.
What better way to start the year with a little yummmmmy Sassafras! I really cannot wait to see what the new collections are for CHA Winter ... I really hope its gonna follow the previous 2 show releases coz they've been nothing but super "fun-tas-tic" to work with.. catch my drift? Wink Wink.
Well i completed the page last night and really had fun mixing Sassafras up with some good ole Hamblys.. me love hamblys too! hehe
Oh and as I was going through my photos.. I realised that I forgot to show what I did for my parents for Christmas...
its actually a huge IKEA frame about 30 over inches wide. Each image is about 3" by 3".. basically all photos taken in 2008. It's now hanging up on the wall at my parent's new home. I'm glad they liked it. Eugene and I took quite a long while calculating the distance between photos and making sure they were straight (you know how I'm all about NOT calculating and alignments... it was quite a painful experience .. at least for ME. LOL! Good thing I had Eugene!)
Lastly... this is something I stumbled upon from ZEN HABITS blog. I read this blog ocassionally coz we all need a little ZEN in our lifes.. haha
These are the POWER OF LESS tips from the blog:
Don’t make resolutions, create a new habit. It lasts longer.
So true So true....
Start your New Year with a clear desk. Clear everything off the top of the desk but the essential tools.
Gosh I need to do this.. my scrap area and work area both totally messed up!
Set one major goal for this year. Focus yourself completely into making it happen. Make it a mantra.
Hmmm... how about DECLUTTER?
Take action TODAY to make your One Goal happen. Even a small action. Tomorrow: repeat.
My goal today is to complete up some pre-orders for upcoming CHA Winter show. Now if only Starbucks has home delivery.
Schedule time for yourself, right now. Every day if possible, even if it’s just 10 mins.
Me time.. probably when I go get my Starbucks coffee. Still dreaming of home delivery.
Practice effective focus. Spend 30 minutes just focusing on one task. Clear distractions. It gets easier.
This I really need to do. My mind is constantly thinking of different things and I work effectively multitasking actually.. but it's good to concentrate on one thing at a time. I can be working on the computer and doing 3 different tasks at one time. eg: creating some graphics for the store, doing orders, typing an email etc etc.
Realize that you don’t need to respond to email right away-no one expects you to. It can wait! Checking email just twice a day is possible if you let go of the need to respond immediately.
Ahahahahhaa! What would life be without emails. But I have to remember this too.
Oh well okay... I'm gonna go back to work now. Have a nice day ya?
