Yesterday while having breakfast at Punggol Plaza, we saw this funny sight. Mom wanted to get some fruits from the wet market and look what we saw:
LOL! Yep... the cat was eyeing the fishmonger and watching the fish and seafood like a hawk. FUNNY EH?
On another note... I guess its starting to become quite a sunday routine.... Jac and I baked again yesterday. LOL! We made a batch of Chocolate Chunks and banana walnut cookies but it did not really turn out as planned.. according to family members who ate it.. it tasted fantastic... but I was telling Jac that it was like a flat muffin..instead of a cookie..lol.
Then we went on to bake TIRAMISU cookies. Now that was gooooood..... check out the pics:
This required a lot of work but it was worth it! We had to separate the egg whites and yolks then treat them separately with different ingredients then combine the mixtures together again to form the base. After that, we piped the mixture onto baking trays, dusted on some cocoa powder and baked it to form the 'sandwich'. Also, we mixed Marscapone cheese with rum (you can replace with any coffee liquer) and vanilla extract to make the center 'cream'. The cookie was coated at the bottom with melted semi sweet chocolate then fridged to harden. Once the chocolate hardened, we added marscapone cheese mix to one of the base and sandwiched another onto it to form a 'oreo look alike' cookie.
IT TASTED GOOOOOOOOD.
Lastly... i maanged to scrap! Did a simple layout of a photo I took with Celine Navarro (who will be coming to Singapore to teach at MWL in May! woohoo!)
I really love the colours of this layout... that rich green background from Basic Grey and all the yummy Sassafras goodies. ... and multi toned prima flowers. yum! I used crayons to doodle on the sides. The stamped circles were from a Unity stamp I bought while in Anaheim.
Thanks for dropping by and have a nice week!
