Madam who?? Madam Me!!

My new workshop this month!!!!  Using Kaisercraft's Madam Me collection of papers and embellishments and my current obsession - WOOD embellishments!!!  This is also a  Tattered Angels workshop and we are going to play with a big host of Tattered Angels products and also use tha Fastenation Add On pages as the base for this project as well as the irresistable alphas!  It's going to be awesome!

A new workshop

Dusting the layers of dust .........

It's been such a long time since my last post. This year indeed has been crazy busy and I admit, with Facebook being such an easy way to update my status, this blog has sorta taken a backseat.

However I do want to share with you my new workshop next month!!!

It's gonna be a Tattered Angels endorsed workshop and you are gonna be playing with all the 4 different mediums from the TA family!!

We are gonna be misting the Pink Paislee Shadowbox frame and will complete with an accordion mini album as well!

It's gonna be Sooooo much fun!

Glimmer Junque-kie!

Oh my word...... I guess you can say I've yet to recover from being in Jakarta ...  or RATHER, from all the work that went on before that till after.  Made With Love opened a new store in Jakarta, Indonesia early June and it's our first store out of Singapore.  Loads of work went on leading up to the actual opening and I feel tired again just thinking about it.

CHA Summer is round the corner AGAIN!!!! This means.... work piles up many folds !  It's been such a terribly busy year for me so far.... sad to say, I've really been neglecting anything creative.  Lots of people have been asking me when my new class is going to be and I can finally say... NEXT MONTH!! ahhahahaah!!

YES I HAVE A NEW WORKSHOP NEXT MONTH!  It's gonna be awesome as it combines one of my favourite collections from CHA Winter - Pink Paislee's DAILY JUNQUE collection as well as the TATTERED ANGELS DAILY JUNQUE Paint System.

The class is going to be called GLIMMER JUNQUE-KIE ... hehehee

It's going to be an awesome mini album (not quite mini actually!) and you will play around with all the different Tattered Angels Mediums to put together the album.  And guess what?  You will EACH RECEIVE, a Tattered Angels Daily Junque Paint System Kit worth $37.95! Cool ya?

cobwebs!!!

What can I say?  Life has juz taken over!!! .....  and facebook.  LOL!  It's so much faster to update my status via Facebook these days that this good ole blog has cobwebs growing already....

I apologize for the lack of postings... i should really try to be more diligent in doing so!  Maybe no one is reading this anymore.. hahahaa.

Anyways last week I took a short break and went with my mom, sis and aunt to Seoul.  I have not been back in 17 years and it was such a great feeling being back!  I *HEART* Seoul alot.  I studied in the International School for awhile back then as my Dad was posted there.

It was sooo good to go back and visit my school... Seoul Foreign School.... the old buildings are still there but they have constructed new buildings! 

The drive up to the school.... It is located on top of a hill. :)  This building is new and we almost could not recognize where we were!

I had one of my best years of school life in this school.... so many good memories and soo different from studying in Singapore.  I really wish everyone would have an opportunity like I did.. it was really an experience!

Anyways... back to real life now.. lol!

This is the doily that I did for our latest swap.  I really liked how everyone's doily design turned out different...

In case you were wondering about the colours and how i achieved it..

The back of the doily was misted with DECADENCE Chalkboard Mist, then I used Sugar Maple for the alphabet stencils.

For the rolled flowers .. i used dictionary paper.  Misted with Cadillac Pink and Turquoise Blue.

Easy peasy! :D

 

So In Love....

My new workshop for September using Crate Paper's newest RESTORATION collection. I love love love love this collection lots.  When I first saw them online I knew I had to create a workshop for this... the warm colours were soooooo yummy.  The collection had my favourite colours - yellows, greens and greys!  I have been attracted to grey for some time now! Come join me ya?  We will be doing 4 layouts with ALL the papers in this collection.  I will show you how you can work chipboard stickers into the pages without them looking out of place, how to layer patterned papers together and more!

The class is called 'SO IN LOVE' ... coz I am SO IN LOVE with this collection.. hehe!

the crazy does not stop....

I guess you can say the crazy does not stop.... after the madness from the store's reopening .. it's time for CHA!  We've been up to our neck busy with all things CHA.  As you can see.... some CHA Summer stuff have already begun arriving at the store!

Unfortunately.. we are not going to Chicago this summer.  I kinda miss that place!!!  I'm dreaming of taking the tram/bus ride around town... I loooove how the city looks like.. especially with the Chicago river that runs right through the middle of the city.  I miss Navy Piers.... walking along the pier, eating al fresco... admiring the city lights and the ferris wheel.... the fireworks!!! Hopefully I'll get to go back there again.. :)

Anyways... I managed to get my hands on the new Sassafras - INDIE GIRL collection.  Here are 2 quick layouts !  i needed a creative break from all that's happening. :)

Love this photo!  We took it at The Fullerton Hotel - Jade Restaurant.  The colours fit perfectly with the Sassafras papers.  .. oh and that Paper Napkin flower!  Me loooove!   When I saw the paper napkins for sale at IKEA a few months back.. i knew i would have use for them some time down the road..lol!  I bought this blue shade and a black/white one too!  Not sure if it's still selling at IKEA.

And i think I'm currently having a mad obsession with this colour scheme.  I cannot seem to get out of it! I've been scrapping these colours over and over again!  I tell you.. the subconscious mind is really powerful.  I did not think of scrapping these colours until I took the photos of the layout and suddenly... it hit me!  I used the same colours again.  When I got the Sassafras collection... it did not strike me that they were going to be the same ole colours from the previous pages.    Crazy huh!

Okay back to work now.  (or maybe some lunch first..lol!)

2.  Sneaks for my new workshop @ Made With Love is out!!!!!  I cannot wait to resume teaching at the new wing.  I'm sure all of you will LOOOOOVE the new labs we have.  It's the best! The new workshop is called UBER COOL - just coz you will be playing with uber cool products , uber cool mediums and uber cool colours...and not to mention you'll have an uber cool time!  hehe.

Vegas ... and scrappy stuff.

Just back from Las Vegas last week... took some time off to go on a family vacation and to attend the

Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas.  I had a blast of a time.... bought loads of stuff... walked till my feet hurt and took tons of photos!!!

We stayed at the Treasure Island @ Vegas. Pretty decent hotel... not the best but really convenient  location.  He are some of my favourite photos from the trip ...

 

JULIUS!!!!!! ehheheheee.....  so glad to have found a Paul Frank store @ Vegas.  I HAD to buy this soooooo sooo cute Julius plushy.

Taken at Ceasar's Palace.. hehehee... cute butt eh? Squeeshy squeeshy..... :P

At a Chinese restaurant in Ceasar's Palace.  Nice decor!  Look at the ceiling?   BUTTTTTTT... really horrible food. US$3 for a bowl of rice (small bowl!)  and US$16 bucks for a bowl of soup that tasted like what we get when we order wonton noodles - really bad soup.  It was advertised as "mouth watering".  (smacks forehead!)

Taken at THE VENETIAN.  I love how vibrant everything looks in the hotel....especially with all the "al fresco" diners by the fake lake. hahaha..  The false ceiling with the sky makes it look like day time but these photos were taken at about midnight. LOL!

I have a ton more photos to seive through and sort .... between Eugene and I, we took more than a thousand photos!  Will post them up on flickr soon.

So anyways I'm off to CHA in LA again on Friday.. looking forward to soaking in the whole CHA atmosphere and walking the floors... gonna be soo tired though.  I found out that I will have inflight on board power for my lappie... hmmmmm maybe i should load in some serials on my lappie :P   Another loooong flight ahead...wish me luck.

Okay and FEB is around the corner.  Did not get to teach any workshops this month as the store's been under renovations.  Lots of delays in the opening of our new wing due to various factors but I'm so excited to teach at the new wing soon!  We've made our workshop /classrooms ALOT better and so much more condusive for having scrapbook fun!

If you've not taken my Dec workshop "Sunshine on a Rainy Day" featuring the bright and cheerful GREENHOUSE collection from K&Company... i think we are going to have 1 or 2 more sessions in Feb.  In addition, I have a new workshop lined up using the coolest and trendiest of colours right now in the scrapbook industry!  You will use some really fun papers from Basic Grey's ORIGINS collection, together with lots of Hambly goodness (overlays, papers, stickers, rub ons!).  The layouts are gonna be COOL!  You will also use unexpected materials to add texture to your pages :)

As I will be loading the workshop pack with lotsa goodies, alphas for titles will not be provided for this workshop.  But i'm sure you'll have lots of alphas at home to add on :)
